Natural Moisturizing Factors (NMF) are elements that keep the outer layer of the skin protected and well-hydrated. NMF are made up of multiple amino acids, fatty acids, triglycerides, urea, ceramides, phospholipids, glycerin, saccharides, sodium PCA, hyaluronic acid and many other compounds that are naturally present in the skin.

This formula offers non-greasy hydration that acts as a direct topical supplement of impaired NMF components. It contains 11 amino acids, phospholipids, alpha/beta/gamma fatty acids, triglycerides, sterols and sterol esters, glycerin, ceramide precursors, urea, saccharides, sodium PCA and hyaluronic acid. It offers immediate hydration and lasting results with continued use.

GREAT MOISTURISER

Love this moisturiser with the benefits of hyaluronic acid - so much so that I have bought this a number of times. It absorbs easily into the skin and leaves it feeling soft but not greasy. There is no fragrance so there’ll be no irritation for those with allergies and looking for a simple product. I use this after The Ordinary Hyaluronic Acid 2% + B5, and find my skin wonderfully hydrated, smooth and glowing! Whilst this is my morning routine, my evening routine is again from The Ordinary products - cleansing with the Squalene Cleanser, then using a few drops of Niacinamide 10% + Zinc 1% and afterwards a drop of The Ordinary Retinol 0.5% in Squalane and then this Moisturiser again. I used to have hyperpigmentation but this routine seems to have sorted it out. I sometimes alternate the Niacinamide and Retinol with the toner Glycolic Acid again from the range and whilst this does tingle it is not harsh and it is great at taking away any flaky skin. (I don’t use the retinol and glycolic at the same time though as that would be too harsh on my skin). So I’d recommend The Ordinary products in general - excellent products with a not so hefty price tag - what’s not to love?! Thanks also to The Grooming Clinic for their service and delivery. :-)

I like to ‘seal’ a moisturising gel, like hylauronic acid, into my skin immediately as otherwise I find the water content has dried out within 30 mins. NIOD HV is great for this purpose.
